Interlink Telecom Public Company Limited (ITEL), a leading provider of fiber optic network and data center services in Thailand, has joined the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) and partner agencies in the cable reorganization and utility pole management project on Pracharat Sai 2 Road. The initiative aims to enhance public safety, strengthen power system stability, and significantly improve Bangkok’s urban landscape.
The project covers approximately 3 kilometers along Pracharat Sai 2 Road, from Bang Pho Pier to the Waterworks Canal (both sides of the road). It marks the first route implemented in 2026 under Bangkok’s continued infrastructure improvement plan.
The official cable removal ceremony was presided over by Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, on February 24, 2026, at Gateway at Bang Sue.
ITEL remains committed to supporting the national policy on communication cable organization, aiming to reduce accident risks related to overhead cables, enhance public safety, and create a cleaner, more orderly, and modern cityscape. The initiative supports the transformation of Bangkok, Nonthaburi, and Samut Prakan into a sustainable Smart Metro.
